In 2019, I fell in to wedding photography, when a friend of a friend had a last minute cancellation. It was a wonderful discovery for me, when I realized I could earn a living by taking pictures, which is what I've always loved to do anyway. In high school I always had film cameras and disposables, and to this day my favorite thing is getting a roll of film developed!

Being a wedding photographer  combines my love of photography, with joyful gatherings, mirth and merriment, creativity and spontaneity, and the celebration of the love between friends and families. I really love getting to be quiet and observant, like a fly on the wall, and then getting to craft and compose colorful portraits of the characters in your life. It's such an honor to be a witness to all these special moments, from so close up. It's my actual dream job!

I shoot both film and digital, as well as Super 8, and focus on making natural photographs that feel like joyful, and intimate documentation. I want to leave you with warm, colorful, natural & meaningful images of you & the people you love enjoying life.

I have been a film photographer for many years, documenting my own travels and experiences, and I made a documentary film about alternative, sustainable ways of living on communes in modern USA as one half of an incredible project called Anima Rising

I also enjoy doing photography collaborations with small businesses, some of which can be seen here. I also take a lot of musician portraits, and film & digital portraits of friends and artists.

In 2018, I had my first solo photo show, entitled Light of Day at Monolight, in Red Hook, NY, it mostly featured photos from a solo camping trip I took in California.

When not working, you will find me playing guitar, making ceramics, listening to music, watching documentaries, Agnes Varda movies, or Seinfeld. I also enjoy traveling, kumquats, laundry on a line, and hot fudge sundaes.

Please feel free to reach out and contact me with anything you'd like to talk about!

I love to chat and would be so happy to hear from you.
